Here you can learn about everything PTO does for the school, ask questions, and meet current members. The AP room will be available for open play for kiddos if needed.

Girls basketball tryouts will be held on September 3rd at 6:30AM This is open to all 6th-8th graders. All athletes must have a current physical on file to tryout.


Just a reminder tomorrow is picture day for Skill Builders and K-4th grades. Wednesday Aug 21st 5th-8th grades along with Bright Beginnings will get their pictures taken. In the event your child misses Tuesday and if time allows their pics will be taken on Wed. If time does not allow or if you child misses the pictures altogether then they can do picture retakes on Sept. 6th. Everything will be done online. The staff at MGS are looking forward to seeing all the students back in the hallways tomorrow! Just a reminder tomorrow is a half day. Our school day starts at 8:15am. Dismissal times for the first day of school are as follows: K-2 will start being dismissed at 11:20. The rest of the school will be dismissed at 11:30.

Our dedicated teachers and staff have poured their hearts and souls into preparing for this incredible journey ahead, working tirelessly this summer and these past few weeks to ensure everything is perfect. This year's school-wide theme, "Rockin the School Year 24-25 Tour," promises to take us all on an unforgettable adventure filled with joy and inspiration. We can’t wait to entertain and uplift every single MGS student as we soar to new and exciting heights together! Mark your calendars—we’ll see everyone at Back to School Night on August 12th and can’t wait to welcome our students back on the first day, August 14th! Let the concert begin!


MGS PTO would like to remind you that K Kickoff is tomorrow evening on the MGS playground. Incoming K students and families are invited to join us from 5:30PM- 7:00PM for a scavenger hunt, coloring station, and of course free play on the playground!
This is a great opportunity for students to get familiar with the playground and meet some classmates with the hopes of reducing some nerves before the start of the school year.
Please note: no K teachers will be present.

Back to School Night is right around the corner on Monday August 12th! Bring your supplies and meet your teachers during the designated time listed on the flyer. There will be food trucks out on the black top from 4:30-7:30! Grab a bite to eat while you are here! Also, on the black top you will find office staff, the school nurse, bus drivers, PTO, Foundation, the Metamora Library, Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts. They will all be there to answer any questions you may have! We can't wait to see you on the 12th!


If you ordered a School Tool Box they will be in your child's homeroom class.
