The grounds of MGS just got a bit shadier! Fifth graders decided to raise money for a Community Service Project, and because they raised so much money, we were able to complete 2 different projects. The first was the donation of 50 Birthday Boxes to local food pantries, and the second was the planting of trees at MGS. Three new sunrise maple trees were planted- 2 on the north side of the school and 1 on the playground area. A big THANK YOU to Brandt Barr and Barr Landscaping for working so quickly to get the trees planted before our 5th graders left for the summer.

MGS 8th grade students celebrated the end of the year today with their class trip to Six Flags! Great times had by all and beautiful weather! Bugs Bunny even got in the photo!

Reminder: Friday, May 9th is a half day of school. Students will be dismissed at 11:30AM

Choir Concert Time Change for Thursday, May 9th.
Dear Parents and Guardians,
The track meet that was scheduled for today has been rescheduled for Thursday. In order to allow our track students the opportunity to participate in two of their favorite things, I am pushing back the start time of our concert to 7:30 pm. Students will need to be at the high school by 6:45 pm. You can expect the concert to be about 45 minutes. The order for the concert will be 5th grade choir, 6th grade choir, 8th grade recognition, and 7/8th grade choir. Track students are welcome to show up anytime before their group takes the stage. Please know that this was entirely my idea. I want my students to know that both activities are equally important and their “teams” are counting on them. If you have any questions please let me know. Thank you!!
Musically yours,
Mrs Gregait
Some of our Junior High students attended a Chicago Fine Arts field trip.
