It was an amazing day with our buddies today! We heard a story about Petey the Pumpkin having a hard time and how through kindness and friendship he came out on top. 5B students LOVED spending time with our Skill Builder Bunch!

MGS students has their first SEL celebration of the year today. Students participated in some grade level activities, spent time with their buddy classrooms, and we had a whole school assembly where the students and teachers faced off in a game of Hula Hut Knockdown! Of course...the teachers won!!! WeAreRedbirds!

The MGS Foundation for Excellence is excited to share all the fall mini-grant requests were approved totaling over $18,000. Approved requests included: Smart display screen, PE equipment, flexible seating, science experiment materials, STEM supplies, musical instruments, math manipulatives, Lit books, Accelerated Reader incentives, and MORE!
Looking for a fun outdoor family activity for this Saturday. Come up to the square between 11:00-2:00 for the annual Meet Your Heroes event on Saturday, Sept. 6th. Check out the flyer attached for more information.

Good luck to our MGS boys golfers as they compete in Sectionals today! Competing today is Corbin Colantoni, Nolan Buerkett, Owen Karcher, Alvin Noll, Major Crispen, and Jace Domenighini.
The MGS Cross Country team competed again today at the Washington Middle School Invitational. Lots of PR's and fun was had by all! Both the girl's varsity and girl's open teams brought home first place!
