🌊Ride the Wave into Grade K with a Kindergarten Kickoff with a social meet up at Metamora Grade School playground Sunday, August 10th from 3:30-5PM. This is a fantastic way to ease your littles into MGS with getting to know the playground and meeting some classmates before school starts! PTO will have a scavenger hunt, coloring pages, and a small snack!

Class lists for Kindergarten through 4th grade will be posted on the red doors on August 1st. Grades 5th-8th will be able to see their homeroom teachers through skyward.

It is hard to believe that the first day of school is right around the corner! The first day of school will be Wednesday, August 13th. This will be a full day of school. August 11th we will have our Back to School Night! Students can bring their supplies and meet their teachers! Secretaries, Nurses, Transportation staff along with others will be out on the blacktop to answer any questions you might have. Don't worry about dinner as there will be food trucks out on the blacktop for you to enjoy! Please check the flyer for the grade levels specific time to come. We look forward to seeing everyone!

Baseball tryouts are right around the corner! The following dates will be for open field times (completely optional). All dates will be from 9:30-11:00 at the MGS baseball field. July 15, 17, 22, 24, 29, 31. Tryouts will be held on August 4th from 8-10AM and August 5th from 8-11AM. Some exciting news to share with our students. The MGS Beanstack program is now in tandem with our Illinois Prairie District Library's Beanstack program. Students now have the opportunity to log any minutes read and it will count towards both MGS and the Illinois Prairie District Library. The Office will reopen on July 8th part time. Office hours will be Tues - Thurs from 7:30-11:30AM. If you are needing to drop paperwork off when the office is closed we do have a locked dropbox located by the main entrance.
