Mrs. Lelm's 7th grade classes learned about the body systems of frogs this week by dissecting them in class. Mrs. Lelm sees many medical field professionals in the making! This was possible through a mini grant from the Foundation that Mrs. Lelm applied for. Thank you Mrs. Lelm for this awesome experience and thank to the Foundation for making it possible!

Guest speaker, Lindsay Knoblauch came and spoke to 6-8th grade students. Mrs. Knoblauch is co-founder of SEL Integrations, an educational consulting company that has been working with the staff at MGS for the last year to implement school-wide Social Emotional Learning initiatives, as well as provide staff training on SEL and trauma-informed practices. She was excited to teach the students at MGS about adolescent brain development and the effects of stress on the brain, as well as share coping strategies to help students cope with powerful feelings.
