MGS 2nd grade team on Twosday, 2/22/22!

A big thank you to the Peoria Park District for their assistance in bringing the volunteers from the Peoria Symphony Guild to MGS today! The first graders loved the musical puppet show of Peter and The Wolf and getting to see the puppets up close. 




Reminder tomorrow is Presidents Day so there is no school. Enjoy the holiday!Classes will resume Tuesday. 
Tomorrow, February 17, will be a snow day for MGS due to the forecasted ice and snow accumulation. There are no online learning requirements. Be safe and see you Friday!
6th grade science - Students constructed a seismograph and demonstrated an earthquake to simulate how it measures the vibrations! 


The 2nd graders are learning how to play in an ensemble, using the barred instruments and hand drums. Thank you to the Foundation for providing these instruments.

8th Grade students created presentations on a concept about Chemical Change & taught their classmates. They got bonus points if they did a demonstration on their concept. Students really took ownership & did a fantastic job!

OLD School and NEW School: 7th Social Studies and Language Arts teamed up to help students learn all about research, sources, and citations.
OLD SCHOOL: Students used their research to build writing skills, while composing a traditional informative essay about American Founding Fathers & Mothers.
NEW SCHOOL: Students shared, discussed, and reflected on their research while using modern technology and designing their own class websites. Check out their site links below!
