2C enjoyed their jellybean graphing today!

Thanks to all the families that supported MGS by purchasing a Glo Bingo buy a share for their kindergarten student. The kids enjoyed their popcorn and juice, the movie, and of course hanging around after school with their friends.

1, 2, 3, 4..I declare a Volume War! To practice finding volume of rectangular prisms, 5A and 5B mathematicians "fought" to get the shapes with the greatest volume.

1A went on a Spring Color Scavenger Hunt during Tech...Taking photos of their finds with their tablets.

What a beautiful day for 3C to work on planting their plants for their science unit. Each student got to plant their own individual cup of marigolds and cucumbers! The students were amazed at how different the seeds looked!

Planting seeds in 3D!

Ms. Brown’s 3rd grade class learned all about how and why flowers are pollinated today! 🐝🌺

For 2-22-22, Mrs. King’s students learned about palindromes and made time capsules to open when they are seniors in high school on another palindrome date, 3-3-33!

8th graders in math class worked on estimating Pi today by simulating Buffon's Needle Problem, a problem posed in 1777.

We love our Redbirds! Congrats MTHS basketball! 🔴🏀⚫️

8th grade Team Building & STEM activities in Science class today! Helping build life long skills through various challenges.

6th Grade math students built a chain representing more than the first 1,800 digits of Pi to celebrate Pi Day coming up on Monday!

Thanks again to our amazing 2E parents for an awesome Art Commotion lesson! Today we learned about Yayoi Kusama and her creative dot painting. Our class enjoyed creating our own dot art today!

Congratulations to the 5th Grade Band for their excellent performance on the Winter Concert!

Learning by building! 3C took a hands-on approach to learning about one specific simple machine (the wheel and axle). Students built their own race cars and tested them out.

If you build it, they will learn! My third graders have been studying forces in science class. They were given the task of designing a bridge. Then they had to test the strength of their design by adding force. The lesson learned: Failure is a success! By observing where their bridge "failed" they were able to redesign it to make it stronger.

Congratulations to the 4th Grade Recorders on their outstanding performance on their Winter Concert!

Stop in the Cafeteria Friday night from 6:00 to 8:00 for a cool treat. We have ice cream and all the topping for a delicious sundae. After you are done there, come shop at the book fair in the Library.

2E had fun in math today! We learned about which tools are best for measuring different lengths.
