MGS continues to celebrate a historic basketball season! The 7th Grade Boys Team ran the table for a 28-0 undefeated State Championship. Our 8th Grade Boys placed 3rd in the State Tournament. The MGS Cheerleading Team, in their first year in the competitive division, placed an impressive 3rd place in the State Competition.
Bradley Men's Basketball Game-February 26
The teams have multiple upcoming celebrations. First, the school will hold an assembly Friday afternoon the 24th to recognize the winter sports teams. On Sunday, February 26, the 7th Grade Boys Team will be recognized at the Bradley Men's Basketball Game. An online tickets portal has been arranged for this game specific to the families of Metamora Grade School, allowing for discounted ticket pricing throughout Carver Arena.

March 1-State Capitol Visit, Springfield
The 7th Grade Team, 8th Grade Team and Cheer Team have all been invited to the State Capitol in Springfield March 1. Representative Tipsword will recognize the teams on the House floor during that day's legislative session
