Congratulations to Ethan Bratvett who has been chosen to represent MGS in the ILMEA District 3 Honor Band and Jazz Band. Way to Go Ethan!

Due to the fact Woodford County is under a burn ban we will be moving the Marching Band Bonfire to the MGS playground blacktop tomorrow night, 10/17. It is from 5-8. Could you please bring movies (G or PG NOT PG13), food that your section was assigned to bring, board games/bags (any other game you like)….we will have access to the playground/soccer/ball fields and parents if you would like to join us! :) Hope to see you Tomorrow Night!!

6th grade students spent time reflecting on and writing about some short stories they recently read. We are thankful for the outdoor classroom and to those who donated to make it possible!





6th graders are building catapults in their STEM elective class and having distance and target practice competitions.

6th grade Literature used the VR goggles to explore Japan today! They are reading The Invisible Thread in class right now. Such a fun way to dive deeper into their curriculum!




The MTHS is hosting a softball winter clinic. Registration is open for all 1st-8th grade girls. Please see flyers for further information.


The All-Star Book Fair starts TOMORROW and will run through Friday, October 24th. Students will have the opportunity to shop the book fair during their scheduled library times. Don’t forget! MGS girls Cross Country team are Sectional Champions for the 2nd year in a row and are on to State next weekend! The boys team fought hard today but came up just short. Congratulations to everyone who ran today! We are proud of you!!!
