6th grade students spent time reflecting on and writing about some short stories they recently read. We are thankful for the outdoor classroom and to those who donated to make it possible!





6th graders are building catapults in their STEM elective class and having distance and target practice competitions.

6th grade Literature used the VR goggles to explore Japan today! They are reading The Invisible Thread in class right now. Such a fun way to dive deeper into their curriculum!

MGS girls Cross Country team are Sectional Champions for the 2nd year in a row and are on to State next weekend! The boys team fought hard today but came up just short. Congratulations to everyone who ran today! We are proud of you!!!

JH Boys Basketball tryouts are right around the corner. They will be held on 10/20 & 10/21. 8th grade will be from 3:15-5:00pm & 6th/7th grade will be from 5-7PM. All participants must have a current physical on file to be eligible to tryout - if your son has not been attending open gyms, please reach out to Amy Messacar at amessacar@mgsredbirds.org to verify your son has a valid physical.

Today, 5B kids spent a wonderful morning with our buddies. We made friends with the kids in Bright Beginnings and Skill Builders. Long lasting friendships were created today. :)










MGS students and staff had a blast celebrating homecoming and our SEL day today with a football related relay race. Grade levels competed against each other for bragging rights throughout the year! Students also spent time with the buddy classrooms again today celebrating what it means to be a Redbird! Hope everyone has a fun, and safe, homecoming weekend! Go Redbirds!!!
