Skeeter the Clown came to visit some of our students on Friday during morning recess to promote the Circus that is coming to Metamora on Monday August 28! The kids enjoyed watching Skeeter perform a few magic tricks and getting to hear about the exciting details of what to expect at the Circus! Be sure and bring your families out to Black Partridge Park on Monday August 28 for a memorable experience! Show times are at 5:30 pm and 7:30 pm. Online ticket sales are sold out, but tickets can still be purchased in advance at participating locations, or on Monday at the gate!
Hit the pavement & sign up for the 2nd annual 5K for KARES Foundation. 5K and kids 1 mile fun run will be held on September 30th at Metamora Fields. Kids 1 mile run will be at 7:30am and the 5K starting at 8:00am!! Even if you don't run, stop by and see Jack!!

Just a reminder tomorrow night is Back to School Night! Come out and meet your teachers and bring your school supplies! There will be food trucks set up outside on the black top where you can grab a bite to eat! The nurse, office, athletic director/assistant principal and bus staff will be outside as well to answer any questions you may have. You can also get information regarding PTO, Foundation, the Playground, Right at School, and the Metamora Library. Check out the flyer attached to find out the time for your grade level. Great start to the MGS cross country season! Girls finished 2nd overall and boys finished 3rd overall. Lots of individual medals for our Redbirds! Their hard work is paying off!

Some of the cross country team competed at Detweiller @ Dark last weekend. Whoa, it was hot...110 degrees but everyone finished the race! Coach Dirks ran too! Great way to kick off the cross country season!
