Public wreath laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Arlington National Cemetery. Afterward, a Sentinel hosted a Q & A. Our group was extremely humbled and thankful by these opportunities.

Here are the newest DARE graduates. They had an amazing ceremony today, with songs, speeches, and K9 demonstrations. A special THANK YOU to Ms. Trotter and Mrs. Gregait for sharing outstanding musical performances. An EXTRA special THANK YOU to Deputy Angela Holocker for sharing her knowledge and leadership with us.

Fifth grade murals are done! Students had to use their dividing fraction skills and creativity to plan and draw a mural, and calculate how much paint would be needed to complete the task. Painting murals was not an option for us, but we didn't let that stop us. Sidewalk chalk is a perfect second option! These murals spread positivity and show how truly creative and artistic our kids are. A special thank you to Lily Dale from Metamora High School, who took time from her busy day to come and use her drone to take amazing photos of our work from above.

Thank you Recorders for performing on the assembly yesterday. Nice Job!

Ahhhh-mazing 1st day experiences in Washington D.C. for these 8th graders! White House tour, meeting Congressmen Darin LaHood and taking a tour of the Capital Building, American History & Natural History Smithsonian Museums, WWII, MLK and FDR Memorials. Still have 2 more days here!

5B scientists were tired of looking at all of the trash littering our school yard. During science time, since we had finished up our final performance task, we took a trip all around the school and picked up any trash. We were amazed at how much we picked up!

Here is the result of another amazing Mrs. Foster art project finished by the students of 5B. The young artists learned about and created 3D construction paper masks. Mrs. Foster never stops amazing us with her new and beautiful projects!

What a great day at the park for the 5th grade DARE Celebration. Rain did not dampen any spirits, through Pickleball, Wiffleball, and playing in the sand. Kids (and teachers alike) were exhausted by the end of the day.

Fun times today on the 8th grade
class trip! @The Forge Lemont Quarries. Student ziplined, climbed high ropes courses & went orienteering. Making memories with friends!
