5C decorated Veterans Day projects to hang in the hall.


Ms. Vogel’s kindergarten class spent some time this week learning about the Veteran’s in their lives. As November 11th approaches, we would like to thank all Veteran’s for their service.🇺🇸




5th grade had fun building and testing catapults this week.




5A and 5B students have been learning how to use the steps of the Engineering Design Process. Today they used those steps to create a catapult that will launch a candy pumpkin the farthest. Our longest launch was about 800 centimeters. Pretty impressive!




With the help of the entire MGS family, Student Council was able to collect 520 pairs of new socks for Peoria-area shelters during Socktober.

4th Grade spent October reading Biographies on a famous person of their choice. They presented this week to their class dressed up as their famous figure. The students enjoyed learning a variety of facts about people from the past and the present.

Mrs. King’s class celebrated the 50th day of school by listening to 50’s era music, writing about how we think you make a root beer float, alphabetizing 50’s themed words, practicing our doubles facts, discussing the number 50, and then finally enjoying root beer floats!

The MGS dance team was in the Halloween spirit this morning for practice.

7th Grade Social Studies students spent the past week creating and presenting Real Estate Development Proposals to their fellow students. Their goal: Convince fellow students to move to their colonies! Where do you want to move - New England, Middle, or Southern Colonies?




8th Grade Science students creating 3-D models of the sun. Learning about nuclear fusion, the interior & the atmosphere.
