MGS will be hosting an Intro to Game Development and Programming Camp! If your 5th-8th grade student is interested please make sure you register asap, as it is limited to the first 20 students! And it is FREE!!
Kids will learn:
Basic programming skills in the C# language, one of the
most widely used programming languages in the video
game and commercial programming industries.
An introduction to Unity3D game engine.
o Unity3D has been used to create games, movies, and
training simulators in the medical and construction
industries, and more!
o With the skills they learn in camp, kids will be familiar
enough with Unity to continue their learning at home
and work on their own games.
Become familiar with Visual Studio, one of the most widely
used programs for writing code!
This camp will cover the creation of a simple game from start to
finish, allowing kids to touch all aspects of game/software
development to some extent. This helps them to discover the
wide range of jobs available in these industries and find exactly
where their interests lie. All software is free and available at
home for them to continue building on what they learn at camp!
